Therapy for Attachment Wounds and Relationship Patterns
Vancouver, BC, Online & In-person

From infancy, we have been wired to depend on our parents and caregivers for safety, which is vital to a child's growth and well-being. When consistent, predictable emotional and physical care is absent, those attachment bonds can be deeply ruptured and impact the way we feel about ourselves, handle emotions, trust others, and how our bodies respond to stress.

What attachment trauma can feel like:

  • Fear of closeness

  • Fear of being rejected, abandoned, or left behind

  • Fear of being "too much" or "not enough" in relationships

  • Strong feelings of shame and self-criticism

  • Anxiety that feels hard to calm

  • Feeling numb or overwhelmed by emotions

  • Low self-worth

How can counselling help?

Counselling can help you move towards healing and recovery from childhood attachment trauma through a secure therapeutic relationship. Together, we can put words to and process deeply felt emotions and experiences, and bring curiosity to what lies beneath long-held patterns that may no longer serve you. We will equally focus on all that is good and right in you, which can lead to positive emotional experiences and offer transformative hope.

I offer attachment-based therapy for adults online throughout BC, Canada, with in-person sessions available for those who prefer to meet in person on Commercial Drive.
